SAAGAR GUPTA : “Thank you Screenwriters Association for nominating our film Evening Shadows under the competition category for Best Gender Sensitive Script. We are truly humbled to be nominated from the list of 167 films. Winning the award will surely be a boost, but our work has been acknowledged by such a prestigious body of writers is itself a great honour and a matter of pride for us, as the writers and creators of Evening Shadows.”

सागर गुप्ता : “हमारी फिल्म ‘ईवनिंग शैडोज़’ को सर्वश्रेष्ठ जेंडर सेंसिटिव स्क्रिप्ट की श्रेणी के प्रतिस्पर्धा के लिए नामांकित करने के लिए स्क्रीनराइटर्स असोसिएशन का बहुत आभार। 167 फिल्मों की लंबी सूची में से नामांकित होने पर हम बहुत आभारी हैं। अवार्ड जीतने पर निश्चित ही बहुत प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा लेकिन ‘ईवनिंग शैडोज़’ के लेखक और निर्माता के तौर पर  हमारे काम को लेखकों की सबसे सम्मानित संस्था द्वारा पहचाना जान ही सबसे बड़ा सम्मान और गर्व का विषय है।”

SRIDHAR RANGAYAN :  “The very fact that SWA recognizes the need for instituting a category like Best Gender Sensitive Script to give leverage to marginalized stories about women and LGBTQ characters within the mainstream space, means a lot to us writers and filmmakers working on these themes. And the fact that our film Evening Shadows makes the cut to be nominated is a huge honour. We hope to keep the rainbow flag flying high!  “

श्रीधर रंगायन : “सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है की, महिलाओं और एलजीबीटीक्यू चरित्रों की हाशिये पर धकेल दी गयी कहानियों को पहचान दिलाने के लिए एसडबल्यूए ने ‘सर्वश्रेष्ठ जेंडर सेंसिटिव स्क्रिप्ट’ जैसी श्रेणी को शुरू करने की आवश्यकता को पहचाना। यह इस विषय पर काम करने वाले लेखकों और फिल्ममेकर्स के लिए बहुत मायने रखता है। और हमारी फिल्म ‘ईवनिंग शैडोज़’ ने इस नामांकन में जगह बनाई यह बहुत बड़ा सम्मान है। हम उम्मीद करते हैं की यह सतरंगी झण्डा ऊंचाई पर लहराता रहे!”

QASIM KHALLOW :  “Many congratulations to the Screenwriters Association for their first ever award and thank you for nominating Gone Kesh. It’s a great honor for me to be nominated in this Award as I have always looked up to this association. This SWA awards will motivate new budding writers and also give recognition to already existing Writers. I am so glad and happy that finally we have an award show specially dedicated to the writers. “

कासिम खालो : “एसडब्ल्यूए के इस पहले अवार्ड के लिए बहुत शुभकनाएँ और अवार्ड के लिए ‘गॉन केश’ का नामांकन करने के लिए शुक्रिया। इसमें नामांकित होना मेरे लिए बहुत सम्मान की बात है क्योंकि मैंने इस संस्थान की तरफ हमेशा उम्मीदों से देखा है। एसडब्ल्यूए अवार्ड्स नए अंकुरित हो रहे लेखकों को बहुत प्रेरणा देंगे और मौजूदा लेखकों को पहचान दिलाएँगे। मुझे बहुत खुशी हो रही है की आखिरकार एक ऐसा अवार्ड शो है जो लेखकों  के लिए समर्पित है।”

IVAN AYR :  “I’m very grateful to the Screenwriters Association and the 2020 Awards committee for this nomination. There’s no greater honour than to be recognised by your peers and contemporaries, so this is very special.”

इवान अय्यर : “मैं इस नामांकन के लिए स्क्रीनराइटर्स असोसिएशन और 2020 अवार्ड कमेटी का आभारी हूँ। अपने साथियों और समकालीन लोगों से सराहे जाने से बढ़कर कोई सम्मान नही है, इसलिए यह बहुत खास अवसर है।”

KISLAY : “I initially joined SWA thinking that it is only an association, Later when I received regular updates about its activities, I realised it does much more. I have been really happy to see it organizing discussions, seminars and workshops for budding writers from all over India. It’s an honor to be chosen by your esteemed fellow writers as one of the contenders for the SWA Awards. In Academics, the uniqueness and inventiveness of the academic works is recognized in its peer reviews. SWA Awards is equivalent to that for me in the films. I am glad that our peers have seen something of value in what we tried to do in our first film as a writer”

किसलय : “शुरू शुरू में जब मैं एसडबल्यूए से जुड़ा तो मैं सोच रहा था की या कोई संगठन भर है, लेकिन जब बाद में मुझे इसकी नियमित जानकारी मिलने लगी तब मुझे महसूस हुआ की यह वाकई बहुत ज्यादा काम करने वाला संगठन है। इसके द्वारा पूरे भारत के नए  लेखको के लिए आयोजित वार्तालाप, संगोष्ठियों और कार्यशालाओं का नियमित आयोजन देखकर मुझे बहुत खुशी हुयी है। एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड में अपने प्रतिभाशाली सह-लेखकों द्वारा एक प्रतियोगी के रूप में चयनित किया जाना एक सम्मान की बात है। अकादमिक संस्थानों में, अकादमिक विशेषताओं और नयी सृजनशीलता की पहचान सहकर्मियों की समीक्षा से किया जाता है। मेरे लिए एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स फिल्मों में उसी के बराबर है। मुझे खुशी है की हमने अपनी पहली फिल्म में एक लेखक के तौर पर जो किया, हमारे साथियों को उसमे कुछ महत्वपूर्ण दिखा।”

FAIZAL AKHTAR : “Shukriya SWA for nominating me for ‘The Sholay Girl’. A movie so dear to my heart. Especially because it is a biopic of a completely unknown woman. And doing contemporary research is kind of difficult. But the team pulled it off. So it feels ebullient to be nominated by SWA, by your own people. This award is important to continue for appreciation of the art and craft of a medium that is called the ‘writer’s medium’. SWA nominating feels like being nominated by the academy for oscars, and because it is an award by SWA I know this will be a true lens for writers to judge their work. So a heartfelt thank you for being nominated. This is one of the best steps that SWA has taken and as writers we give you all the support to continue this effort for years and years to come. Kudos!!!”

फैजल अख्तर : “द शोले गर्ल के लिए मुझे नामांकित करने के लिए एसडबल्यूए का शुक्रिया। यह फिल्म मेरे दिल के बहुत करीब है क्योंकि यह एक पूरी तरह से गुमनाम औरत की बायोपिक है। समकालीन विषयों पर शोध करना थोड़ा मुश्किल होता है लेकिन टीम ने इसे कर दिखाया।तो एसडबल्यूए के अपने ही साथियों द्वारा नामांकित होना बहुत अच्छा एहसास है। लेखक का माध्यम कहे जाने वाले शिल्प और कला की सराहना को आगे बढ़ाने में यह अवार्ड बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड के लिए नामांकित होना ऑस्कर के लिए अकैडमी अवार्ड में नामित होने जैसा है, और क्योंकि यह एसडबल्यूए का अवार्ड है इसलिए मैं जनता हूँ की यह लेखकों के काम का निर्णय करने के लिए वास्तविक पैमाना होगा। इसलिए नामांकन के लिए आपका दिल से धन्यवाद। एसडबल्यूए द्वारा शुरू किया गया यह बहुत बड़ा कदम है और आने वाले समय में इस कार्यक्रम को जारी रखने के लिए एक लेखक के रूप में हम आपको पूरा सहयोग देंगे। आगे बढ़ो!!”

SAMEER SIDDIQI : “An artist can understand and appreciate the work of a fellow artist better. I’m grateful that my humble effort is nominated for the first SWA Award. SHRABANI DEODHAR : `Heartiest Congratulations to SWA Awards for their  Diamond  Jubilee Year. I feel very  honoured  to be nominated for my film The Sholay  Girl in ‘The Most Gender Sensitive  Category  This nomination is very special  as this is the first  year for this category  and more so because this award  is given  by Screenwriters to Screenwriters. I want to thank SWA and the eminent  Jury members for encouraging  and acknowledging.”

फ़ारुख कबीर : “पहले एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स के बारे में जानकर मैं बहुत खुश हूँ। यह सिनेमा के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण स्तम्भ- लेखकों के सम्मान के लिए स्वागत किया जाने वाला कदम है। एसडबल्यूए और साथियों द्वारा ‘377 अब नॉर्मल’ को नामांकित किए जाने पर मैं बहुत खुश और सम्मानित हूँ। एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड लेखकों और कंटैंट निर्माताओं को मिलने वाला सबसे सम्मानित अवार्ड बनाने जा रहा है।”

KASHAN MUSTAFA : “The importance of this film, 377 Ab Normal, overshadows any and all creative achievements that it brings. Written and made with true heart and spirit, this film is a milestone in putting the historic judgement and the people who played the key roles towards achieving it on moving images, thus giving them posterity. I cannot thank Faruk Kabir and Siddharth Mishra enough! They were instrumental in getting this film made. And so was Zee5 without whom this would not exist and would not be viewed by so many across boundaries of nations, ideologies and gender”

कुषाण मुस्तफा : “377 अब नॉर्मल का महत्व किसी भी रचनात्मक उपलब्धियों से ज्यादा है जो इसको मिला है। सच्चे दिल और भावना से लिखी गयी और बनाई गयी यह फिल्म उस ऐतिहासिक निर्णय के लिए एक मील का पत्थर है, और जिन लोगों ने इसको एक चलचित्र में बदलने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया उनके लिए एक बेहतर परिणाम है। इस फिल्म को बनाने में फारुख कबीर और सिद्धार्थ मिश्रा का जो योगदान रहा उसका लिए मैं उनका कृतज्ञ हूँ। और ज़ी5, जिसके बिना यह फिल्म अस्तित्व में नही आ सकती थी और राष्ट्र, विचारधारा और जेंडर की सीमाओं के पार नही देखी जा सकती थी, उनका भी आभार नही चुकाया जा सकता।”

SIDDHARTH MISHRA : “First of all, heartiest congratulations to SWA for starting these awards because acknowledgement and appreciation for writers are usually given a miss while appreciating a creation (in this case, films). SWA has been doing a fabulous job in safeguarding the interests of writers. I’m really very happy and excited as the film written by me , 377 Ab  Normal has been nominated under the Gender Sensitive Film category of SWA awards. It’s an important film for these times as though the court has done its job by decriminalising article 377, the message should reach out to the larger part of the population in a way which is understandable and which can sensitize them. Film, as medium, becomes a very effective tool in this. And we, as a team, tried to convey this message in an empathetic manner through this film. Looking forward to these awards and all the best to SWA for all its endeavours. “

सिद्धार्थ मिश्रा : “सबसे पहले, इस अवार्ड को शुरू करने के लिए एसडबल्यूए को बहुत बधाई, क्योंकि फिल्मों में लेखकों के सम्मान और पहचान में हमेशा एक कमी थी। एसडबल्यूए लेखकों के लिए बहुत बेहतरीन काम कर रहा है। एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स के सर्वश्रेष्ठ जेंडर सेंसिटिव स्क्रिप्ट की श्रेणी में मेरी लिखी हुयी फिल्म ‘377 अब नॉर्मल’ को नामांकित किए जाने से मैं बहुत खुश हूँ और बहुत उत्साहित भी हूँ। अब जब न्यायालय ने धारा 377 को अपराध की श्रेणी से मुक्त कर दिया है तो इस संदेश को लोगों के बड़े समूह तक पहुँचाने और उन्हे इस मुद्दे के प्रति संवेदनशील बनाने के लिए यह बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण फिल्म है। इस मामले में फिल्म एक माध्यम के रूप में बहुत प्रभावशाली माध्यम है। और एक टीम के रूप में हमने इस फिल्म के माध्यम से इस संदेश को  समानुभूतिक तरीके से पहुँचने का प्रयास किया है। मैं इस अवार्ड्स के प्रति उत्साहित हूँ और एसडबल्यूए को इसके प्रयासों के लिए बधाई देता हूँ। ”
