एसडब्ल्यूए अवॉर्ड

सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्क्रिप्ट एवं गीत पुरस्कार

“एसडब्ल्यूए अवॉर्ड” स्क्रीनराइटर्स एसोसिएशन का वार्षिक अवार्ड समारोह है। इसे 2020 में स्क्रीनराइटर्स एसोसिएशन के डायमंड जुबिली (हीरक जयंती) वर्ष के अवसर पर शुरू किया गया था। यह भारत की एंटरटेनमेंट इंडस्ट्री का एकलौता और अनूठा अवार्ड है, जो हिंदी भाषा की फिल्मों, टीवी सीरियलों एवं वेब श्रृंखलाओं के कथा, पटकथा, संवाद लेखकों और गीतकारों को दिये जाते हैं। यह अवार्ड स्क्रीन राइटर्स के लिए स्क्रीन राइटर्स के द्वारा है।

उद्देश्य
इस समारोह का उद्देश्य स्क्रिप्ट राइटिंग की विभिन्न श्रेणियों में वर्ष के श्रेष्ठ लेखन को रेखांकित और सम्मानित करना है, ताकि अच्छे लेखकों और गीतकारों से एंटरटेनमेंट वर्ल्ड वाकिफ हो सके और लेखन का श्रेष्ठ कंटेन्ट निर्माताओं और ब्रॉडकास्टरों को मिल सके। श्रेष्ठ लेखन का चयन का आधार टिकट बॉक्स ऑफिस, टीआरपी, कुल कमाई या लोकप्रियता के बजाय लेखन कला (कंटेन्ट और क्राफ्ट) की गुणवत्ता होता है और इसका निर्धारण प्रतिष्ठित लेखकों गीतकारो की जूरी के श्रेष्ठ चयन के आधार पर किया जाता है।

अवार्ड की श्रेणियाँ
यह अवार्ड स्क्रिप्ट राइटिंग के विभिन्न माध्यमों में लेखन की कई श्रेणियों में दिये जाते हैं।

वे इस प्रकार हैं-

फिल्म
फिल्मों के लिए दो प्रकार के अवार्ड हैं, 1. नवोदित लेखकों के लिए.   2. नियमित लेखकों के लिए. 

इन दोनों प्रकारों में लेखन की तीनों श्रेणियों के लिए पुरस्कार दिए जाते हैं।   

1. सर्वश्रेष्ठ कथा लेखन
2. सर्वश्रेष्ठ पटकथा लेखन
3. सर्वश्रेष्ठ संवाद लेखन

टीवी सीरियल
टीवी सीरियल श्रेणि में सर्वश्रेष्ठ कथा, सर्वश्रेष्ठ पटकथा और सर्वश्रेष्ठ संवाद के लिए अवार्ड दिए जाते हैं।   

वेब सीरीज

वेब श्रृंखला में दो विधाएं हैं

1. सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्क्रिप्ट- ओरिजिनल
2. सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्क्रिप्ट- एडपटेशन (प्रकाशित पुस्तक पर आधारित)

इन दोनों विधाओं में कथा, पटकथा और संवाद के लिए अवार्ड दिए जाते हैं।   

गीत
गीत लेखन के लिए दो तरह के पुरस्कार हैं,

1. सर्वश्रेष्ठ गीत – फिल्म के लिए, और
2. सर्वश्रेष्ठ गीत- टीवी सीरियल और वेब श्रृंखला के लिए

 इस श्रेणी में टीवी सीरियल और वेब सीरीज दोनों माध्यमों के गीत शामिल किए जाते हैं और सभी शामिल गीतों में से किसी एक गीत को सर्वश्रेष्ठ गीत का अवार्ड दिया जाता है । 

 एसोसिएशन के बारे में:
स्क्रीनराइटर्स एसोसिएशन फिल्म, टीवी सीरियल और डिजिटल मीडिया के लिए कहानी, पटकथा, संवाद और गीत लिखने वाले लेखकों का संगठन है। कोई भी व्यक्ति जो फिल्म, टीवी या डिजिटल मीडिया के लिए स्क्रिप्ट या गीत लेखन करना चाहते हैं वो एसोसिएशन का मेंबर बन सकते हैं ।

SWA Awards 2023

Awards for Best Script Writing and lyrics!
The Screenwriters Association awards ceremony, dubbed ” SWA Awards,” was launched in 2020 as part of the association’s Diamond Jubilee Year. It is India’s first and only award for screenwriters and lyricists of Hindi Films, TV Serials /Shows and Web Series. The awards in the various categories are decided by a jury comprised of eminent screenwriters and lyricists from various mediums of the entertainment industry. These awards are by the screenwriters, for the screenwriters.

Objective
A major goal of the event is to recognize and celebrate the best screenwriting of the year in various categories. It also aims to introduce the entertainment industry to the best writers and lyricists, and bring the best of writing content to producers and broadcasters.   Rather than ticket box office, TRP, total income, or popularity, the most successful writing is determined by the quality of the writing art (content and craft).

 Award Categories
SWA Awards are given in several categories in different mediums of script writing. They are as follows:

FILM
There are two types of awards for Films – 1. For budding writers and 2. For regular writers. Awards are given in three categories for both types of writing.

1. Best Story
2. Best Screenplay
3. Best Dialogue

TV SERIALS
For TV serials the awards are presented for Best Story, Best Screenplay, and Best Dialogue.

WEB SERIES
There are two genres in web series:

1. Web Series – Originals
2. Web Series – Adaptation (Any published book)

In both these genres awards are presented for Best Story, Best Screenplay, and Best Dialogue.

LYRICS
There are two categories of awards for lyrics:

1. Best Lyrics – For Film, and
2. Best Lyrics – For TV Serial & Web Series

Songs from both TV Serials and Web Series are included in this category and the best lyrics award are given to any one song from all the songs included.

About SWA:
Screenwriters Association is a trade union for screenwriters and lyricists working for feature films, Television shows & Web series. Any individual who desires to become a writer or lyricist for films, Television or digital media can become a member of SWA.
