DEVANSHU SINGH : “It’s a matter of great joy and pride for us both, that our first script has been nominated in 3 categories (Best Story, Best Screenplay & Debut Writer) at the first ever edition of the SWA awards. We wrote this script in 2007 without any formal training in screenwriting. For the past 10 years, we kept polishing it as we learnt the craft. Writing is the game of immense patience and hard work and being rewarded for it, means a lot. Thank you jury for considering us worthy of the nomination among such brilliant writers. Special thanks to SWA for starting this award. This will definitely encourage budding writers like us.”

देवांशु सिंह : “हम दोनों के लिए यह बहुत खुशी और गर्व की बात है, कि हमारी पहली स्क्रिप्ट को एसडब्ल्यूए  पुरस्कारों के पहले संस्करण में 3 श्रेणियों (सर्वश्रेष्ठ कहानी, सर्वश्रेष्ठ पटकथा और डेब्यू राइटर) में नामांकित किया गया है। हमने यह स्क्रिप्ट 2007 में पटकथा लेखन में किसी भी औपचारिक प्रशिक्षण के बिना लिखी थी।  पिछले 10 वर्षों में, जैसे जैसे हम इस क्राफ्ट को सीखते गए, हमारी स्क्रिप्ट भी निखरती गयी। लेखन असीम धैर्य और परिश्रम का खेल है और इसके लिए पुरस्कृत किया जाना बहुत बड़ी बात है।  हमें इतने शानदार लेखकों के बीच नामांकन करने के योग्य समझने के लिए जूरी का बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद। इस पुरस्कार को शुरू करने के लिए एसडबल्यूए को विशेष धन्यवाद। यह निश्चित रूप से हमारे जैसे उभरते लेखकों को प्रोत्साहित करेगा।“

SATYANSHU SINGH :  “Over the last couple of decades, Screenwriters Association has been the much needed support- system we need as writers. It is only just that the SWA has its own awards to honor the work of screenwriters and lyricists. Over the following years, this award will only grow in its stature and legacy. I will always feel honored and proud to be nominated in the SWA Awards, very first year. Thank you SWA from the bottom of my heart, for this nomination, and every other nomination and award an upcoming writer will receive from you“

सत्यांशु सिंह : “पिछले कुछ दशकों से, एसडबल्यूए लेखकों के लिए सबसे आवश्यक सहायक प्रणाली बना है।  एसडब्ल्यूए के पास पटकथा लेखकों और गीतकारों के काम का सम्मान करने के लिए अपने स्वयं के पुरस्कार हैं। आने वाले वर्षों में यह पुरस्कार नयी ऊंचाइयां छुएगा और प्रतिष्ठा में आगे बढ़ेगा।  मैं एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स के प्रथम वर्ष  में नामांकित होने पर हमेशा सम्मानित और गौरवान्वित महसूस करूंगा। इस नामांकन के लिए और अगले हर उस नामांकन और पुरस्कार के लिए जो आने वाले लेखकों को आप लोगों द्वारा दिया जाएगा, उसके लिए एसडबल्यूए को तहे दिल से धन्यवाद।

SANDEEP PANDEY : If we look at all the elements of a film, writing, without doubt, is one of the most important components. The Screenwriters Association provides a platform that encourages and safeguards the rights of the upcoming and professional writers. It is a matter of privilege for me that the SWA and the jury nominated Chousar Firangi written and directed by me in the best debut writer category. I am very thankful to them. And I also hope that SWA continues to encourage us writers.

संदीप पाण्डेय : “ फिल्म के सारे तत्व देखे जाए तो लेखन बहुत बड़ी अहमियत रखता हैं, फिल्म की शुरुवात लेखन से ही होती हैं, और युवा एवं प्रोफेशनल लेखको के लेखन को प्रोत्साहन और उनकी कला को रजिस्टर्ड करने का प्लेटफार्म स्क्रीनराइटर्स असोशिएशन प्रदान करता हैं। मेरे लिए ये सौभाग्य का विषय हैं कि स्क्रीनराइटर्स असोशिएशन द्वारा आयोजित एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स में मेरे द्वारा लिखित और निर्देशित “चौसर फिरंगी”  के लिए मुझे डेब्यू राइटर के लिए नॉमिनेट किया गया, इसके लिए मैं ज्यूरी और एसडबल्यूए को धन्यवाद देता हूँ।आशा करता हूँ की एसडबल्यूए ऐसे ही कलाकारों को प्रोत्साहित करता रहेगा।”

RAVINDER RANDHAWA : Nothing could be more significant and heartwarming than being recognized and celebrated by one’s fraternity. Therefore, I am extremely happy to be nominated for the first ever SWA awards. The best part is that the only consideration for these awards seems to be the quality of the script and not the total business of the film. I sincerely hope that these awards will instill faith in good writing and inspire writers to strive for the best.

रविंदर रंधावा-“अपने समुदाय के मित्रों द्वारा सराहने और जश्न मनाए जाने से ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण और हार्दिक ख़ुशी कुछ भी नहीं हो सकती है। इसलिए, मैं पहली बार एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स  के लिए नामांकित होने से बेहद खुश हूं। इन अवार्ड्स की सबसे ख़ास बात यह है कि इनके लिए एकमात्र विचार स्क्रिप्ट की गुणवत्ता है ना की फिल्म का कुल व्यवसाय। मुझे पूरी उम्मीद है कि ये अवार्ड्स हम लेखकों में अच्छे लेखन का विश्वास पैदा करेंगे और लेखकों को सर्वोतम लिखने के लिए प्रेरित करेंगे।”

AADISH KELUSKAR : “Writing is art and art is subjective. Awards in an artistic field, for ‘Best’ this or that, do not reflect the true nature of art unlike sports or other clearly defined fields. However, awards in an artistic field are important because they serve a necessary function – Clear Recognition. In today’s muddled times of information overload, clear identification, and recognition of an artistic field from other artistic fields is the vision we need. SWA has that vision and SWA Awards for writing is a concrete reflection of that. I thank you for the nomination and wish SWA the best to continue this vision.”

आदिश केलुस्कर : “लेखन कला है और हर कला व्यक्तिगत अभिव्यक्ति है। एक कलात्मक क्षेत्र में अवार्ड्स, खेल या अन्य स्पष्ट रूप से रेखांकित मापदंड वाले क्षेत्रों जैसे समांतर नहीं होते और वो कला के वास्तविक स्वरूप को प्रतिबिंबित नहीं कर सकते। इसलिए ‘यह श्रेष्ठ‘  या ‘वह श्रेष्ठ’ जैसी बातों का विशेष महत्व नहीं रह जाता। फिर भी, कलात्मक क्षेत्र में अवार्ड्स बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं क्योंकि वे “मान्यता स्थापित”  करने का एक  आवश्यक कार्य करते हैं। आज के सूचना के बोझ तले दबे हुए समय में, एक कलात्मक क्षेत्र का दूसरे कलात्मक क्षेत्र को स्पष्ट पहचान, और एक मान्यता दे ऐसी दूरदर्शिता की आवश्यकता है। एसडबल्यूए के पास वह दूरदर्शिता है और लेखकों के लिए शुरू किए गए एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स उसका ठोस प्रमाण है। मैं अपने नामांकन के लिए एसडबल्यूए का धन्यवाद देता हूं और इस दूरदर्शिता को जारी रखने के लिए एसडबल्यूए को शुभकामनाएं देता हूं।”

IVAN AYR : “I’m very grateful to the Screenwriters Association and the 2020 Awards committee for this nomination. There’s no greater honour than to be recognised by your peers and contemporaries, so this is very special.”

इवान अय्यर:  मैं स्क्रीनराइटर्स एसोसिएशन और अवार्ड्स समिति २०२० का इस नामांकन के लिए बहुत आभारी हूं। अपने सहकर्मियों और समकालीनों द्वारा पहचाने जाने से बड़ा दूसरा कोई सम्मान नहीं होता, इसलिए ये बेहद खास है।

KISLAY : “I initially joined SWA thinking that it is only an association, Later when I received regular updates about its activities, I realised it does much more. I have been really happy to see it organizing discussions, seminars and workshops for budding writers from all over India. It’s an honor to be chosen by your  esteemed fellow writers as one of the contenders for the SWA Awards. In Academics, the uniqueness and inventiveness of the academic works is recognized in its peer reviews. SWA Awards is equivalent to that for me in the films. I am glad that our peers have seen something of value in what we tried to do in our first film as a writer.”

किसलय : “शुरू शुरू में जब मैं एसडबल्यूए से जुड़ा तो मैं सोच रहा था की या कोई संगठन भर है, लेकिन जब बाद में मुझे इसकी नियमित जानकारी मिलने लगी तब मुझे महसूस हुआ की यह वाकई बहुत ज्यादा काम करने वाला संगठन है। इसके द्वारा पूरे भारत के नए  लेखको के लिए आयोजित वार्तालाप, संगोष्ठियों और कार्यशालाओं का नियमित आयोजन देखकर मुझे बहुत खुशी हुयी है। एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड में अपने प्रतिभाशाली सह–लेखकों द्वारा एक प्रतियोगी के रूप में चयनित किया जाना एक सम्मान की बात है। अकादमिक संस्थानों में, अकादमिक विशेषताओं और नयी सृजनशीलता की पहचान सहकर्मियों की समीक्षा से किया जाता है। मेरे लिए एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स फिल्मों में उसी के बराबर है। मुझे खुशी है की हमने अपनी पहली फिल्म में एक लेखक के तौर पर जो किया, हमारे साथियों को उसमे कुछ महत्वपूर्ण दिखा।”
