AYESHA NAIR: “It’s great that with the awards SWA is continuing to turn the spotlight on the work of writers and giving them more recognition. Working on Adulting Season 2 has been a lot of fun and this nomination makes things sweeter.”

आयशा नायर: ” यह वाकई बहुत शानदार है कि अवार्ड्स के साथ एसडबल्यूए लेखकों के काम को केंद्र में रखने का काम जारी रखते हुए उन्हें और ज्यादा पहचान दे रहा है। ‘एडल्टिंग’ सीजन 2 पर काम करते हुए बहुत अच्छा लगा और इस नामांकन से वो और भी मिठास भरा हो गया।”

MAITREYEE UPADHYAY: Entering the Screenwriters Association is like Aladdin entering the cave of wonders. It is daunting. The walls of SWA are filled with names that make me shake in my tiny shoes. And instantly I feel like an impostor, a street-rat, like Aladdin. To think that our words have been nominated for an award by this building, well, it’s like the word goddess is asking me to keep meeting the blank page.

मैत्रेयी उपाध्याय: स्क्रीनराइटर्स असोशिएशन के भीतर जाना ऐसा अनुभव है जसे अलादीन रहस्य की गुफाओं में जा रहा हो। एसडबल्यूए के दफ़्तर की दीवारें ऐसे नामों से भरी हुयी हैं जिनको देखकर मैं रोमांचित हो जाती हूँ। और अचानक से मैं अलादीन की तरह आवारा और और रोमांचक महसूस करती हूँ। यह सोचकर की इस संस्था द्वारा हमारे लिखे शब्दों को अवार्ड के लिए चयनित किया गया है; जैसे शब्दों की देवी मुझे खाली पन्नों से मिलते रहने को बोल रही हो।

NAYANA SHYAM: I’m so grateful and honored to have been nominated for this award. It means so much more to me because of how special this show is to me and my fellow writers.

नयना श्याम: इस अवार्ड में नामांकित होने पर मैं बहुत सम्मानित और कृतज्ञ हूँ। यह मेरे लिए बहुत मायने रखता है क्योंकि यह शो मेरे लिए और मेरे साथी लेखकों के लिए बहुत खास रहा है।

PREKSHA KHANNA: SWA Awards will help give due recognition to one of the most important, and often side-lined parts of the entertainment industry – the writers. I am deeply honoured to be nominated in the first edition of the SWA awards and hope that this tradition continues in the years to come.

प्रेक्षा खन्ना: एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स, इस मनोरंजन जगत के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण और किनारे छोड़ दिये गए हिस्से-लेखकों को उचित पहचान देने में मदद करेगा। एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स के इस पहले संस्कारण में नामांकित होने पर मैं बहुत सम्मानित हूँ, और मैं उम्मीद करती हूँ की यह परंपरा आने वाले वर्षों में भी जारी रहेगी।

वेब सिरीज़: फोर मोर शॉट्स प्लीज!

DEVIKA BHAGAT: These awards mean so much more as they are judged by our peers – fellow screenwriters. Peer recognition is something I strive for. Writing Four More Shots Please! was an amazing and creatively fulfilling experience. Getting this nomination and sharing it with my co-writer and friend, Ishita Moitra, is the icing on the cake. I hope to continue to do good writing in the future and live up to the expectations of my peers.

देविका भगत: ये अवार्ड्स बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है  क्योंकि इनका निर्णय हमारे ही साथियों- पटकथा लेखकों द्वारा किया गया है। ‘फोर मोर शॉट्स प्लीज!’ लिखना बहुत ही उम्दा और रचनात्मक रूप से सफल अनुभव रहा है। अपनी सह-लेखिका इशिता मोइत्रा के साथ यह नामांकन पाना सोने पर सुहागा जैसा है। मैं उम्मीद करती हूँ कि भविष्य में भी अच्छी लिखाई जारी रखूंगी और अपने साथियों का विश्वास हासिल करूंगी।

ISHITA MOITRA: To be acknowledged for your work by your own peers is possibly the highest accolade of all. SWA has always been a beacon of hope and strength for us screenwriters. The Association stands for justice, impartiality, equality, free and fair liberal thought. So, when they choose to celebrate and honour excellence in screenwriting, it sure means something.

इशिता मोइत्रा: अपने साथियों द्वारा अपने काम कि सराहना होना शायद सबसे बड़ा सम्मान है। पटकथा लेखकों के लिये एसडबल्यूए हमेशा से एक उम्मीद और ताकत की रोशनी रहा है। एसडबल्यूए न्याय,  भेदभाव रहित समानता, स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष उदार विचार के लिए खड़ा रहता है। और जब यह पटकथा लेखन में उच्च गुणवत्ता को सम्मानित करने और उसका जश्न मनाने का निर्णय करता हैं तो या वाकई में बहुत मायने रखता है।

ASHISH MANCHANDA: Existence is painful, the world is going downhill and the society will blow up in its own face one day. Content is a better escape from all that than drugs and alcohol. Good content helps one feel belonged and relate with and find solace in other people’s problems and at times forget about their problems. And to craft good content it takes dedicated creators who painstakingly go through endless loops of creation and destruction. Kudos to team SWA for recognising and rewarding such talent in the creative team. Thank you for including team Girls’ Hostel.

आशीष मनचन्दा: अस्तित्व काफी दर्दनाक है, दुनिया पतन कि ओर जा रही है और समाज एक दिन अपने चेहरे पर पानी फेर देगा। लेखन किसी ड्रग्स और शराब से भी अच्छा पलायन है। अच्छा लेखन दूसरे लोगों कि समस्याओं में संबन्धित होने,  उसे महसूस करने और उसमे सांत्वना ढूँढने में मदद करता है साथ में अपनी तकलीफ़ों को भुला देता है। अच्छे लेखन के लिए रचने और नष्ट करने कि अनंत  प्रक्रिया से गुज़रने वाले श्रमसाध्य और समर्पित लेखकों कि जरूरत होती है। रचनात्मक टीम के सदस्यों कि पहचान कर उन्हे सम्मानित करने के लिए एसडबल्यूए को  बधाई। ‘गर्ल्सहॉस्टल!’ की टीम को शामिल करने के लिए धन्यवाद।

CHIRAG RATNA SINGH: I am very grateful, flattered and honestly a little surprised to be nominated for the first ever SWA awards! Considering the competition, it is indeed a great honour to be recognised by people who genuinely understand and appreciate the craft of writing. Here’s hoping this tradition continues. Thank you!

चिरागरत्न सिंह: एसडबल्यूए के इस पहले अवार्ड्स में नामांकित होने पर मैं खुश हूँ और सच कहूँ तो थोड़ा आश्चर्यचकित भी हूँ और बहुत आभारी भी हूँ! एक प्रतियोगिता के तौर पर, लेखन के शिल्प को समझने वाले लोगों से सम्मानित होना वाकई बहुत बड़ा सम्मान है। मैं उम्मीद करता हूँ कि यह परंपरा चलती रहेगी। धन्यवाद।

AKARSH KHURANA: Being nominated by your own peers and the fraternity you belong to is the best feeling ever. I’m so glad that SWA has taken this initiative. Particularly now that we are valuing content more, and writers are coming back to the fore. Also, being nominated for Tripling is just the icing on the cake. I loved writing both seasons of this with my friend and co-writer, Sumeet Vyas. It gave us a chance to be personal, and funny, and most importantly, free to create.

आकर्ष खुराना: आप जिस समुदाय से जुड़े हुये है, उसके अपने साथियों द्वारा किसी अवार्ड के लिए नामांकित होना सबसे अच्छा एहसास है। मैं बहुत खुश हूँ कि एसडबल्यूए ने ऐसी शुरुआत की है। खासतौर पर अब जब हम लेखन को ज्यादा महत्व दे रहे हैं और लेखक फिर से सामने आ रहे हैं। ‘ट्रिपलिंग’ के नामांकित होना खुशी के पल को सजाने जैसा भी है। मैंने अपने मित्र और सह-लेखक सुमित व्यास के साथ दोनों सीजन को लिखने का आनन्द लिया। इसने हमे खुद को ज्यादा व्यक्तिगत, मज़ाकिया और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण इसे बनाने कि आज़ादी का मौका दिया।

AJAYDEEP SINGH: SWA Awards will not only uplift the morale of our writers but also I am sure this award will be one of the most prestigious ones in the forthcoming years. We were in need of an honest and unbiased jury and SWA has stepped in at the right time. I am deeply honored and thankful to the jury for nominating my show Virgin Bhasskar.

अजयदीप सिंह: एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड्स न सिर्फ लेखकों के मनोबल को बढ़ाएगा बल्कि आने वाले वर्षों में निश्चित तौर पर यह एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण अवार्ड बन जाएगा। हमे एक ईमानदार और भेदभाव न करने वाले निर्णायक दल कि आवश्यकता थीं और एसडबल्यूए ने इसे सही समय में पूरा कर दिया। मेरे शो ‘वर्जिन भास्कर’ को नामांकित करने के लिए मैं बहुत्व सम्मानित हूँ और ज्यूरी का आभार व्यक्त करता हूँ।

MANISH KUMAR: It’s my immense pleasure to be nominated and that too for my first show. The power of words is often felt than seen. This award just reassures me that people truly appreciate the beauty of imagination. This is my first project, my first labour of love and to see it nominated, has filled my heart to its brim and my cup runneth over. I hope in future many more are inspired by this honour and we build a tribe that is creative, impactful and authentic.

मनीष कुमार: मेरे पहले शो के लिए एसडबल्यूए अवार्ड में नामांकित होना मेरा लिए बहुत खुशी कि बात है। शब्दों कि ताकत दिखने के बजाय महसूस की जाती है। ये अवार्ड सुनिश्चित करता है कि लोग वाकई में कल्पना की खूबसूरती की प्रशंसा करते हैं। यह मेरा पहला प्रोजेक्ट है और अपनी इस मेहनत और प्यार के लिए नामांकित होना मेरे दिल को लबालब भर दिया है। मैं उम्मीद करता हूँ कि आने वाले वक़्त में यह सम्मान बहुत लोगों को प्रेरित करेगा और हम एक ऐसे समुदाय का निर्माण करेंगे जो रचनात्मक होगा, प्रभावशाली और वास्तविक होगा।
